early career

on 29 june 2016, aké joined bournemouth on loan 2016–17 campaign. on 21 august 2016, made bournemouth debut in 1–0 away defeat against west ham united, replacing jordan ibe due team-mate, harry arter s dismissal after challenge on cheikhou kouyaté. following defeat west ham, aké made full debut against morecambe in second round of efl cup on 24 august 2016. on 19 november 2016, in first league start, aké scored first goal bournemouth in 1–0 away victory on stoke city.

on 4 december 2016, bournemouth played liverpool , overturned 3–1 deficit 15 minutes go win game 4–3, aké scoring winning goal after 93 minutes. third premier league goal , second against liverpool.

aké recalled chelsea on 8 january 2017, making first appearance club since recall on 28 january in 4–0 fa cup fourth round victory on fellow west london club brentford. selected start in chelsea s 2–0 win on wolverhampton wanderers in fifth round of same competition on 18 february.

on 22 april, aké started alongside david luiz , césar azpilicueta in central defence in chelsea s 4–2 fa cup semi-final victory on rivals tottenham hotspur @ wembley stadium.
