bobby , best friend, jack, sabotage high-school graduation ceremony rigging stage collapse. after leaving graduation ceremony, bobby , jack (harry moses) drive van , notice sally (connie lisa marie), secret high-school crush, sitting alone inside, eating ice cream. bobby cannot away , expresses fantasy once. dugan returns van , disapproves of bobby s attention. bobby , jack run across sue (marcie barkin) , tina (deborah white), , attempt arrange dates them evening. sue interested in jack, tina states neither interested in bobby nor other boys because care sex.

bobby works in car wash. bobby s boss andy (danny devito) bookmaker, refuses taking high-risk bet old lady called bertha. bobby s co-workers send convertible car wash roof down, bobby plans buying van anyway - not van, custom van items waterbed, ceiling mirror, refrigerator, toaster, 8 track , multiple television sets. bobby gets revenge on co-workers while showing off new van giving them beers spiked laxatives.
