metro line

an ret metro near nootdorp.


line e of rotterdam metro, formerly called erasmuslijn, runs great part on former hofpleinlijn railway line between den haag centraal station in hague , hofplein station in rotterdam. opened randstadrail line in september 2006, running @ time between nootdorp , hofplein until extended hague in november of year.


as part of line s conversion randstadrail operation, began using ret metro trains (retaining level crossings), more stops added , train frequencies increased. although conversion not flawless, both series of technical problems , derailment, line has been in full metro-like operation since september 2007.


rotterdam hofplein terminus replaced in 2010 bored tunnel connecting line local metro network @ rotterdam centraal railway station. in december 2011, line extended slinge metro station in south of rotterdam, sharing section between rotterdam centraal , slinge existing metro line d, having terminus in town of spijkenisse, southwest of rotterdam. metro line runs every 10 15 minutes.

a randstadrail tram in hague s tram tunnel.


randstadrail includes 2 tram-train lines, both running hague zoetermeer. these lines operated htm, public transport operator in hague, , use randstadrail-liveried regiocitadis vehicles rather htm s older gtl8 s.


line 19 of htm s local tram network, running between suburbs of leidschendam , delft, being temporarily operated randstadrail line lacks balloon loops @ termini , cannot used uni-directional gtl8 s. between 2010 , 2015, htm tram line 2 between kraayenstein , leidschendam operated using randstadrail rolling stock until gradually replaced htm s new bi-directional avenio trams , returned local network.


line 3 (between arnold spoelplein , central station) , 4 (between de uithof , central station) operated regular street-running tram line, partially interlined local network , sharing 1.25 km tunnel under grote marktstraat in city centre local lines 2 , 6. between central station , zoetermeer operate on dedicated tracks light rail system. section central station laan van noi elevated on viaduct; laan van noi leidschenveen trams share track , stations metro line e; remainder of route uses former right-of-way of zoetermeer stadslijn.


line 3 , 4 come every 10 minutes during daytime, on monday saturday. on sundays, in evening, come once every 15 minutes. line 19, during daytime, comes once every 15 minutes.



bus lines

a randstadrail bus near berkel en rodenrijs.


in december 2012, 2 bus lines added randstadrail. these so-called zoro-bus lines, line 170 , line 173, run between zoetermeer , rodenrijs randstadrail station, connect randstadrail metroline e , rotterdam. new bus lane constructed between 2 cities project. buses operated ret 3 times hourly , have instant connection arriving randstadrail-metrotrains @ rodenrijs randstadrail station. @ terminus in zoetermeer centrum-west randstadrail station these buslines connect other zoetermeer city- , regional buslines (arriva , veolia transport) , randstadraillines 3 , 4.
