one diagrammatic representation depicts sefirot metaphorically successively smaller concentric circles, radiating inwards surrounding divine omnipresence. 4 worlds of seder hishtalshelus ( chain of progression ), or addition of highest fifth world (adam kadmon), can depicted in diagram, starting highest , proceeding towards centre of circle our lowest, physical realm. in each world 10 sefirot radiate, 10 successive steps in downward chain of flow towards next, lower realm. depiction shows successive nature of each of 10 sefirot, downward chain, each more removed divine consciousness.


the surrounding space in diagram infinite divine reality (ein sof). outermost circle in teachings of lurianic kabbalah space made tzimtzum in creation unfolds. each successive world progressively further removed divine revelation, metaphorically smaller, more constricted circle. emanation in each world proceeds down 10 sefirot, last sefirah (malchut-actualisation of divine plan) of 1 world becoming, , being shared as, first sefirah (keter-the divine will) of next, lower realm. vertical line centre of circle represents path of downward emanation , constriction, initial first ohr (light) of kav (ray) in lurianic doctrine.
