career

kavalee experienced theatresports performer. had been involved in running theatresports workshops @ university of new south wales (studio 4, new south wales university s comedy society), , number of years, hosted theatresports @ university of sydney. before career on radio triple m, kavalee began working in small video store @ age of fourteen period of 8 , half years, , panel operator , part of promotions team triple m rock patrol vehicles, black thunders.

kavalee graduate of screenwise. 3 months before graduated, scored pilot , part on ensemble cast of working dog productions improvised comedy show thank god re here. appeared in more 20 episodes of show in 2006 , remained member of ensemble cast in 2nd, 3rd , 4th series.

in 2006, kavalee joined co-host tony martin , panel operator richard marsland triple m radio comedy show featured comedy sketches, celebrity guests , banter on trivia , current affairs. show ratings success , developed devoted assembly of loyal fans including english comedian ross noble commented in interview in 2012 this, although off-air 5 years, remained all-time favourite radio show. after 2 years, austereo made controversial decision axe program. despite protests fans , supporters, show finished in november 2007. in december 2008, kavalee , martin recorded special tribute podcast dedicated memory of richard marsland died earlier month.

in 2008, kavalee joined wrong way home akmal saleh , cal wilson on nova network. before kavalee joined guest co-host while wilson took time off wedding. in 2009, kavalee joined nova 100 s hughesy & kate breakfast show anchor, replacing tim blackwell hosted nova nights show launchpad hayley pearson.

kavalee hosted tv burp on 7 network in mid 2009, australian tv series based on original version of uk s tv series harry hill s tv burp. co-hosted santo, sam , ed s cup fever! santo cilauro , sam pang on sbs tv, light-hearted @ 2010 fifa world cup, running duration of championships. kavalee reunited former co-host on this, tony martin, joy of sets on 9 network. comedy television series, looking @ elements used construct television shows, commenced screening on 20 september 2011 in 9:00 pm tuesday timeslot on nine. eighth , final episode aired on 8 november 2011. although initial ratings impressive, subsequent figures disappointing , midway through series, moved later timeslot of 10.30pm.

in december 2011, kavalee resigned nova 100 focus on tv , film work. in 2012, appeared in australian film questions ben? directed rob sitch. kavalee co-hosted santo, sam , ed’s sports fever! on 7 network, spin-off sbs series in 2010. regular guest on tv show agony uncles (abc-tv). worked on comedy film scumbus in starred, co-wrote, co-produced , largely self-funded. comedy film focusses on pair of under-achieving policemen , shot in 11 days, featuring cast of well-known names in australian comedy. film aired on ch-10 on 10 november 2012, received positive reviews , selected screening @ los angeles comedy festival. @ end of 2012, kavalee seeking distributor second feature film entitled border protection squad, film has been written, directed , co-produced himself , comedy takes satirical swipe @ tv shows such ch-7 s border security. film made available downloads on itunes in 2015.

in january 2014, kavalee joined triple m brisbane s grill team marto, michelle & ed breakfast show co-host. regular panellist on network ten comedy quiz show have been paying attention?.

in october 2017, kavalee announced leaving marto, ed & robin breakfast show on triple m brisbane @ end of year spend more time family. announcement came not long after wife, tiffiny hall, had given birth son.

in november 2017, southern cross austereo announced kavalee joining em rusciano co-host breakfast on 2day fm replacing harley breen.
