intense tropical cyclone terry-danae

cyclone danae struck madagascar , hit east coast of mozambique , south africa in late january 1976. 50 people killed in flooding resulted heavy rainfall of cyclone danae.


in south africa, rainfall totals reached on 250 mm (9.8 in) in northeastern portion of country, caused widespread river flooding.

tropical disturbance ella developed on march 9. struck mozambique shortly before dissipating on march 12.
