as of 2000 24% of minnesota hmong graduated high school or equivalent, 8 percent had bachelor s degree and/or associate degree, 1 percent had master s degree or further education. fifty-three percent of hmong in minnesota had never had education.


as of 2010 state of minnesota had 22,000 students of hmong origins. minneapolis public schools , st. paul public schools have large concentrations of hmong students.


minneapolis public schools operates hmong international academy, prek-8 school catering hmong community. in addition hmong college prep academy k-12 charter school in saint paul. there hope community academy, k-8 school located in saint paul open students has focus on hmong language , culture.


by 2011 increasing numbers of hmong attending universities , colleges. many hmong student associations formed on area university , college campuses.
