the college consists of several distinct buildings, including main hild building, administrative hub of college containing main college library, offices, computer room, common rooms , large number of student rooms; other larger accommodation blocks, such thorp, christopher, bede; , several smaller houses such hild gym, bede gym, charles stranks, gables, manor house, manor lodge, belvedere , grove house.


at centre of college caedmon complex, contains dining hall, 2 bars (the vernon arms, named after original hild bede principal, dr vernon armitage & undercroft bar open selected events only), music rooms , student-run cinema in durham, bede film soc.


the college 1 of 2 colleges in durham have 2 chapels — chapel of st. hild (now function room named joachim room) , chapel of venerable bede (still in use).


the college maintains boat house used boat club on river near caedmon complex.
