lactarius pyrogalus produces light ochre spore print; spores broadly elliptic, warts joined moderately thick ridges in well-developed network. spores 7–8 5.5–7 µm in size. spores amyloid, meaning stain dark blue in melzer s reagent, , feature incomplete net.
