in 2004 game concept devised. 2 artists battle against each other , doing create composition. based on existing games tic-tac-toe, chess , four-in-a-row 2 main themes (and when applicable sub-themes) worked out participating artists. complete artwork consists of separate pieces of art can joined differently, visualising different game situations.

the dot, emmen, nl

on july 14, 2009 group ventured upon extensive project: painting spherical gas storage container, being 22 meters in height , 1250 square meters in surface, situated in emmen, netherlands. toyists transformed object within 9 months (6000 hours) colourful artwork called dot tells story live energy.

a ford ka has been transformed driving artwork has been moving around town of emmen , bought private person during public sale.

elephant parade 2010

in 2010 elephant parade held in emmen, same year in dierenpark emmen celebrating 75th anniversary. occasion toyists designed e-phant (energy-phant). being extension of living energy project, e-phant equipped solar collectors in ears, batteries charged during daytime , twenty surrounding led lights per ear shine when gets dark.

in 2012 toyists started transform hotel ten cate in emmen huge piece of art. on may 16, 2012 official reveal took place. facade changed gigantic painting called dreams breakfast . inside hotel 1 room changed piece of art in people can go sleep. in october of same year 6 hotel rooms delivered , there more follow in coming years. rooms not subject painting, floor-covering , curtains revised accordingly. every room has own theme, example ‘savanne – dreaming lion’, ‘cinema – charley playing piano’, ‘bal masqué – hide , seek’, ‘underwaterworld – secrets of ocean’.

uppspretta

uppspretta, keflavík, is

a neglected water tower situated in keflavík, iceland has been transformed magically toyists. colourful story shown on object represents legend of uppspretta. project realised during summer of 2013, enduring bad weather 11 toyists completed task in 6 weeks. uppspretta toyists have done first step abroad artistic collective.
