main post

the main post area consists of numerous quadrangle-style barracks , unit command structures, of have letter designation. b , c quads oldest, having been constructed in 1910s, d, e, , f quads being built later. additionally on main post px (post exchange), commissary, aloha building , library, bowling alley, , uniform clothing store. several sets of barracks have been constructed (the first set completed in 2000) adhering more stylish apartment-type setup. nehelani club, old nehelani club , conroy bowl in main post area well.


housing areas

much of housing on-post has been renovated or rebuilt housing has been privatized. enlisted housing area lies west of main post, while officers housing lies north along wilikina drive. island palms on-post housing company, part of lend lease, responsible maintaining units. average wait time housing 2–6 months , 1 year larger homes.

area x , environs constitute bulk of training areas on schofield barracks. large open areas allow air assault operations take off , land. covered concrete pads can provide shelter units training in area not wish deal sleeping in field. range control office numerous semi-automated , other firing ranges contained within area well.


east range training area

the air assault school, land navigation course, , designated training areas laid out in area east of main post , enlisted housing area. typically, bulk of eib train , testing done in area.


kolekole pass

kolekole road, passes through enlisted housing area , west post training area, leads saddle named kolekole pass allows vehicle traffic flow between schofield barracks , lualualei naval magazine being intermediate destination physical training runs soldiers stationed on schofield barracks.
