the building designed renowned architect manuel piqueras cotolí (1885 – 1937). cotoli born in lucena, córdoba moved peru study , became known buildings blended indigenous , colonial architecture. these buildings include escuela nacional superior autónoma de bellas artes, pizarro´s tomb in cathedral of lima, , archbishop s palace. blending of architectural styles visible outside of la casa de la ciencia, , many parts of building share similarities cotoli’s peruvian works.


a part of building holds consulate general of peru in seville.


in july 2008 peruvian ambassador spain signed 75-year renewal of assignment city of seville of pavilion of peru republic of peru , csic. csic had undertaken provide 3,000 square metres (32,000 sq ft) exhibition space open public dedicated extension of science in andalusia.
