branded bown villiers, extant versions of villiers 269cc touring model still survive machine equipped two-speed gearbox, drip-feed lubrication , bosch magneto. had aluminium footboards, saxon forks , miller lighting set. exhaust included aluminium damper box.
a contemporary review 1922 show @ olympia, london reported:
several alternatives offered makers of bown motorcycles, blackburne, j.a.p. , villiers-engined models being shown upon stand. general specification apart engine similar in each case. these machines laid down , constructed on lines sound, solid, , practical, , ample provision made silencing, exhaust pipes taken right out of machine. internal expanding brampton front wheel brakes may fitted alternative ordinary rim brake, , brampton fork centrally placed tension spring has been standardised. adjustment provided front driving chain gear box.
