in 1930, parents-teachers association of naga central school decided build monument of jose maria panganiban 30 years after death perpetuate heroism among youth , students. association led mr. casimiro perfecto spearheaded construction of monument. evident in september 27, 1930, issue of local newspaper sanghiran nin bikol , minutes of meeting written inauguration of monument. program on inauguration preserved , in holy rosary minor seminary museum.


in late 2013, unmarked monument discovered city councilor nathan sergio of jose maria panganiban in front of gabaldon building inside naga central school. said oldest monument of panganiban built parent-teachers association in 1930. (a confirmation national historical commission of philippines being awaited , local government petitioned nhcp make national historical landmark) naga city government lost no time in restoring place , on january 23, 2014, commemorated hero’s 150th birth anniversary parade, wreath-laying, exhibit , lectures on life , times of bicolano hero.
