neenach part of westside union school district of west lancaster, operates del sur, joe walker, hill view, cottenwood, rancho vista, sundown, valley view, leona valley, , quartz hill schools, through eighth grade. [1]


the present neenach school building constructed in 1990s replace older building had stood decades on neighboring lot. school closed in 2001 because of dwindling population , high heating costs; lack of natural-gas source meant school all-electric. sixty-six pupils enrolled previous year.
