the large gardens , sweeping lawns surround house, based on original planting schemes, mixture of formal , picturesque layout. avenues of palms mark paths house , specimen trees such figs , bunya pines frame distant views. formal flower beds planted close house on southeast , northwest sides. garden contains tennis court, fish pond , various pavilions. these include recent additions of studio on knoll in front of house, once cottage attached managers house, tea house built on new pond south of house , new fernery replacing demolished bush house near pond. kitchen gardens, greenhouse, laundry , water tanks on southwest side of house adjacent service wing. boundaries of garden marked timber fence , elaborate timber gateways show influence of fashionable taste chinoiserie.


buildings related pastoral , agricultural activities of property located outside formal gardens. these include single-storeyed timber manager s house, storage sheds, old timber wool shed, remains of stable , butchers shop , associated machinery , timber cattle , horse yards. residence located beside entry property single-storeyed weatherboard building enclosed verandahs on 3 sides.


the wool shed single-storeyed building, clad in weatherboards , set on timber stumps. large hipped roofed central space or nave has attached skillion roofed wings on 3 sides. beneath corrugated iron roof remains of earlier shingled roof. in northwest part of building remnants of original slatted timber floor. of space under skillions has been converted bedrooms , dining room lined tongue-in-groove boards. northern end of building has subsided , parts of fabric in poor condition.


the house, fragile interiors , furnishings remarkably intact. garden maintained. outbuildings related activities of property continue used , maintained.
