the main building @ museum, visitor center, includes ticket booth, museum store extensive collection of rare , out-of-print books , dvds many toys , souvenirs, snack bar, , exhibit room trolley , transit-related artifacts.


the trolleys have been restored operating condition shown on display in 3 car barns. restoration shop elevated observation gallery shows visitors how vehicles maintained , restored. additional storage barns , tracks, not accessible general public, contain vehicles awaiting restoration. few of restored trolleys operating on demonstration line @ 1 time.


restored trolleys used on museum s demonstration railway, follows route of atlantic shore line, trolley line ran on current museum property , connected kennebunkport york beach. since line abandoned in 1920s, museum volunteers have rebuilt mile , half (about 2 km) scratch. seashore owns right of way biddeford, 5 mi (8.0 km) visitor center. demonstration route leads mile , half talbot park (which loop turn around trolleys) , visitor center.


the collection of trolley buses includes vehicles on country, , world, of twenty in operating condition. restoration on many 6 7 cars underway @ times. discussions under way extend trolley bus line , rehabilitate existing line.


the museum has many themed events throughout operating season (may-october) including dog day, sunset ice cream rides, community appreciation day, veterans appreciation day, antique auto day, pumpkin patch trolley, transit day, children s story time, , special prelude rides on first 2 weekends in december. exhibit room may rented parties, gatherings, meetings or family reunions. in 2014 museum held first ever speakeasy event costumes, special cocktails , music/movies of era, , planned again in 2015.


the museum seeking raise funds build new car house (car barn) , library, restoration of current buildings, cars, grounds , visitor center. museum proposing extend trolley demonstration line route 1 in biddeford.
