History History of the Hmong in Minneapolis–Saint Paul






the hmong, refugees, settled in minnesota due actions of voluntary agencies (volags). minnesota had many active volags helped hmong people when arrived.


the university of minnesota agricultural extension services , lao family community established farming programs hmong in 1980s. programs ended in 1985.


in 2004 randy kelly, mayor of st. paul, traveled thailand delegation of professionals , educators, of them hmong, assess community of hmong refugees.


as of 2006, minneapolis-st. paul area expected receive hmong refugees wat tham krabok in thailand.
