during 2001–02 season, villa loaned moore out second division side chesterfield. made professional debut on 27 october, chesterfield defeated 1–0 blackpool; moore substituted in 72nd minute sean parrish. went on play 2 more matches chesterfield in football league trophy , second division, before being recalled villa @ end of one-month spell.


he broke villa first team in 2002–03. firstly in summer of 2002 played twice in uefa intertoto cup, against swiss side fc zürich , french club lille osc. scored on premier league debut, 75th minute substitute marcus allbäck, put 18-yard screamer past charlton athletic s dean kiely on 11 september @ villa park. made further fourteen appearances season, playing @ grounds such old trafford , anfield. knee injury midway through season caused manager graham taylor insist on extended rest period young midfielder. during down-time signed three-and-a-half-year contract club.
